Alzheimers Foundation - Their major goals are to provide information and support for people living with Alzheimer's, education, advocate public policy and improve legislation, and support research. Their family support includes a directory of health and care services, support groups, and a helpline to name a few.

Amherst H. Wilder Foundation - They have a variety of programs to help older adults remain independent such as housing options, health & home services and caregiver training.

Assistive Technology of Minnesota - Their mission is to:
1. Increase awareness throughout Minnesota of assistive technology devices and services available for people with disabilities.
2. Collaborate with other providers in the delivery of services and training.
3. Provide resource and referral information to persons with a disability to access assistive technology.
4. "Fill a gap" in the current delivery of services through innovative programs.
5. Extend opportunities for disabled persons by working in conjunction with the STAR Program.

Brain Injury Association - Along with teaching what causes brain injuries and how to prevent them, this association provides individual assistance, resource facilitation and public policy advocacy.

Courage Center - Nationally-known, not-for-profit rehabilitation and resource center for people with physical disabilities, brain injuries, speech or vision impairments, or hearing loss.

Elderberry Institute - A resource center to support community efforts and extend the Living at Home/Block Nurse Programs model to new neighborhoods, towns and cities

Little Brothers - Friends of the Elderly - Non-denominational group that pairs seniors and volunteer in the Twin Cities.

Lupus Foundation - The Lupus Foundation offers care and consulting sessions, workshops and educational resources.

Lutheran Social Service - The largest, statewide non-profit social service agency in Minnesota. Services are divided into four divisions: Children and Youth, Families and Adults, Seniors and for People with Disabilities.

Metro Center for Independent Living - MCIL is one of eight Centers for Independent Living in the State of Minnesota and one of almost 500 internationally. They have some great programs such as Travel Instruction, a Computer Lab, Personal Assistance Services and classes that will provide you with information that you need to live independently.

Minnesota Adult Day Services Association - This non-profit organization promotes and supports adult day centers in Minnesota can help you locate a center in your area and give you tips on selecting the best one for your needs.

Minnesota Senior Federation - They provide health plan information, a program that bridges the Medicare coverage gap, mortgage and career counseling and retirement and pension information.

National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Minnesota Chapter - In addition to the highly organized and successful fundraising events like the MS Walk and Bike Tour, the MS Society offers an Aids for Daily Living subsidy, Long Term Services help and suggestions for exercise programs.

Parish Nurse Ministries - Aresource network dedicated to serve, strengthen, and support health ministries and the communities they serve.

- To help those who are living with this devastating disease, this associations offers education, support and outreach programs and fundraising events.

Senior Community Services - Their mission is to identify, coordinate and provide services that help meet the needs of people 55 and older. The agency’s programs include transportation, frail elder support services, caregivers support services, health insurance counseling, senior centers, meals on wheels and many other programs that support positive aging.

Southwest Area Agency on Aging
- They're dedicated to helping older people in Cottonwood, Jackson, Lincoln, Lyon, Murray, Nobles, Pipestone, Redwood, and Rock counties lead independent lives. They provide information and assistance through a 1-800 number, serve as advocates and monitor grants and programs.

Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation - A global leader in the fight against breast cancer through its support of innovative research and community-based outreach programs.
